No. Kandili is an independent service, not affiliated with Kenya Power. Every alert links to Kenya Power’s own announcement, so you can check it yourself.

Does it cover sudden blackouts?

No, only planned maintenance cuts. To report a fault, dial *977# or use the MyPower app.

How much notice will I get?

As much as Kenya Power gives, usually a few days. You’ll also get a reminder at 06:30 on the day.

Will you message me about anything else?

No. You only hear from us when a cut is planned for the place you follow. We never share your email or number.

Is it free?

Yes. Following a place on Telegram or by email is free, with every alert and the calendar link.

How do I stop?

Every email has an unsubscribe link. On Telegram, send /stop to pause or /delete to remove everything we hold about you. See the privacy policy.
